How to Ombre

For walls

Prep your surface by taping off the ceiling line, neighboring walls, baseboards, outlets, etc.  There are a few methods to tackling such a large surface, the way I would work is in vertical strips across the wall (first image below).  Starting on one side of the wall, apply the paint in the same manner as illustrated in the video. Depending on how large you wanted your color transition area to be you could start by painting out a strip in the top color and a strip in the bottom color (second image below).  As you move from section to section you will want overlap your last painted area slightly, feathering out the paint to ensure there is a smooth blending of colors.
